Amanda Bee

Artist/Printmaker

My main  inspiration comes from the landscape. I paint on canvas or board in oil and acrylic sometimes using collage as a starting point. The print methods I use are mono-types and collagraph. These print-making processes are very spontaneous, creative and freeing and I use mono-type printing methods as a way of fully exploring a subject. I like to work directly from my own drawings. I am most inspired by the land and seascapes of Somerset, Wiltshire and Cornwall.
